Implications of Health Care Reform in the Traditional Acute Care Setting Web Forum
Recording Available

Join CAHHS Volunteer Services on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 1 p.m – 2 p.m. (PT) as we continue our web forum series highlighting best practices in the use of hospital volunteers to improve the patient experience.

Since the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010, comprehensive changes have moved acute care hospitals from the epicenter of health care to a place of partnership among stakeholders. Chief nursing officer perspectives from a recent survey will explain how they see the changes impacting volunteers, department outsourcing and work flow patterns.

CAHHS Committee on Volunteer Services Nominations Now Being Accepted

The CAHHS Committee on Volunteers (COV) is an essential link among hospital volunteer leaders, hospital administrations and other hospital  community representatives throughout the state. In keeping with their goals and objectives, the CAHHS staff and COV initiate, plan and recommend policies and standards for volunteer activities. Appointments are for one-year terms. However, members may be reappointed for up to three consecutive terms.  Nominations are now being considered for both salaried staff and volunteer positions for the committee.  To submit a nominee, simply click on the “CAHHS Volunteer Leadership Nomination Form” link below.
