CHA ‘We Care for California’ to Sponsor June 4 Rally at Capitol

Join CHA and broad-based coalition June 4 to support AB 900

We Care for California (WCCA), a statewide coalition of health care leaders, is mobilizing the largest Sacramento gathering of health care providers, workers, first responders and payers in the history of California to show support for AB 900 and SB 640. The June 4 rally — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the state Capitol — is a crucial piece of a larger campaign launched by WCCA to ensure the passage of these two bills that would eliminate the state’s ability to prospectively implement a 10 percent Medi-Cal rate cut that was enacted in 2011 through AB 97. Targeted lobby visits and local media events

CHA will help coordinate smaller lobby visits at the Capitol and/or media events within targeted legislative districts for CHA members and allies to coincide with key committee votes and budget negotiations in the coming weeks and months. and Social Media

CHA’s will provide real-time updates and information under the “About AB 900” landing page, including media coverage, coalition partners, and videos from impacted communities. What’s more, will enable CHA members, impacted families, community leaders, health care workers, and the general public to instantly communicate their support to legislators. We are leveraging social media through Facebook and Twitter in order to spread the word as quickly and widely as possible.
