Steve Warner
Volunteer, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital

Steve spent most of his life in the film industry as a Production Finance Director.  He became accustomed to working with high profile people and maintained a professional and discrete relationships. 

As a semi-retired native to Santa Barbara, Steve also manages the family household, supervises major remodel projects and assisted with raising the children. 

Having a passion for management and providing care, Steve began volunteering at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH).  Within a short period of time, Steve was elected President of the Auxiliary and began his leadership role at SBCH. Steve also brings a wealth of information on diversity in our community.  Working with Pacific Pride Foundation in Santa Barbara, Steve has spoken to groups from high schools, colleges, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community and knowing that of the volunteer may not have the information or tools to understand this diverse community and lead a workshop for CAHHS in 2013.  

Steve was asked to join the CAHHS Committee on Volunteer Services (state level committee) in 2015-2016.  Steve is an active volunteer at SBCH as an Ambassador, Pre-Admit, Volunteer Leadership Committee and many, many other special project and programs such as “Fun in the Sun” an United Ways program that provided a tour of various areas of the hospital, Senior Expo, Heart Health Fair to name a few.
