Steed McCotter

Steed McCotter is currently the Coordinator of Patient Support Services at Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC) in Palm Springs, CA. In that role, he manages the operation of Patient Relations, Volunteer Services, Spiritual Support Services and Patient- and Family-Centered Care. Desert Regional Medical Center is a 379-bed facility with over 300 volunteers, 30 chaplains and a newly formed Patient/Family Advisory Council which Steed was instrumental in organizing. He has a BA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he has worked in healthcare for many years at UNC Hospitals and AIDS Project Los Angeles before coming to Palm Springs. In addition to his hospital work, he also serves on the Board of Directors of Well in the Desert, a local charity which provides daily hot meals to needy members of the local community
