First job was with Riverside County Mental Health, Praveen was asked to join a team to develop a day treatment program to reduce recidivism the program was called “Alternative Sentencing Program” which was linked to Robert Presley Detention Center.  The focus of the program was to rehabilitate clients with Mental Illness to integrate back into society versus going back into jail.

Following Riverside County, Praveen was employed by San Bernardino County where he took a position as the Lead for the Occupational therapy department at Arrowhead Regional Behavior Health facility. This facility was a locked down unit in-patient program.

Praveen then transition to Loma Linda Behavioral Medicine Center also a locked down in-patient facility as the lead and supervisor for the Adjunctive Therapy Program; where he supervises Occupational Therapist, Recreational Therapist, and Activity Assistants, along with clinical responsibility Praveen is also in charge of admin duties. 

During his time at Loma Linda Behavioral Medicine Center Praveen has been part of the team that developed the PAWS program, he helped with re-starting the Occupational Therapy student program, and being  part of a team that helped design the groups / curriculum for the in-patient and out-patient Adjunctive Therapy Program. 

Praveen also holds a position as faculty at Loma Linda University Department of Occupational Therapy, where he teaches the Mental Health portion of the program which consists of diagnosis, theories, interventions and group dynamics.
