Kris is owner of Deutschman Communications Group and is a respected public affairs and communications strategist.She has a successful track record in leading statewide public education and media campaigns; developing strategic communications and issue advocacy programs; and providing counsel to business leaders on corporate positioning within California’s political arena.

She has more than 15 years experience in California’s health care arena, helping to advance legislative and regulatory policies for California’s hospitals, physician groups, biotech companies and corporate and non-profit entities. A former partner with political consulting firm, Townsend Raimundo Besler & Usher (TRB&U), she continues to be a consulting colleague with the firm.

The California Hospital Association, California Biotechnology Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, California Association of Physician Groups, California Institute of Regenerative Medicine, GlaxoSmithKline, Daiichi Sankyo, Pfizer, the nation’s largest public pension system – CalPERS, The Children’s Partnership, Sierra Pacific Industries, California Forestry Association, and the California High-Speed Rail Authority are among her current and former clients.

Kris is committed to public service.  She is a past board and executive committee member of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and former board chair of the Sacramento YWCA.  She has provided pro bono services to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Sacramento Urban League, Firefighters Pacific Burn Institute, the Jewish Federation and Habitat for Humanity.

Kris is married to Scott Doniger and has two Siberian huskies, Mojo and Tiki.
