Ciara Stewart
Manager, Volunteer Resources, Royal Jubille Hospital & Victoria Health Unit

Ciara Stewart has been working in volunteer administration since September 2010 and she has been a member of AVRBC and VMPC since this time. From 2010 – 2015, she was Coordinator of Volunteer Resources with the Canadian Blood Services in Victoria, B.C. From January 2015 – present, she has been with Island Health as Manager of Volunteer Resources at Royal Jubilee Hospital, in Victoria, B.C. Ciara will be taking her CCVA certification exam this year. She has been a part of several committees within the Volunteer Resources department, and has helped to standardize various processes, as well as volunteer programs. She voices the value volunteers have in supporting all sectors and that this work could not be done with the guidance of volunteer administrators. Outside of work, Ciara enjoys traveling, cooking, fitness, and learning languages. Her last trip took her to Italy, and she hopes to return one day.

Ciara most recently presented at the IAVE World Volunteer Conference in Augsburg, Germany in October 2018. Since then, she has promoted the program at volunteer centres in the UK, in Belfast and London, in October and November, respectively.
