Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections

Aim: Reduce the incidence of harm due to central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) in the ICU to less than 1 per 1,000 central line days, and the non-ICU rate to less than 0.5 per 1,000 central line days.

California Prevalence: ICU – 1.1 per 1,000 central line days; Non-ICUs – 0.74 per 1,000 ICU days.
