Casey McGuire
Associate Director of Volunteer Services, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles

Casey McGuire has been at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2003, currently as the Associate Director of Volunteer Services.

Casey manages the daily operations of Volunteer Services and supervises the department’s staff as well as overseeing the volunteer programs throughout the medical center.  He is responsible for initiating and ensuring process improvement, staff and volunteer training and development, and the identification and implementation of new opportunities for volunteers to be involved in the patient experience.

Prior to assuming his current role, Casey was the Coordinator of the Emergency Department Volunteer Program at Cedars-Sinai, where he increased the presence and effectiveness of the volunteers’ role both in engaging with patients and visitors, as well as in being of service to the clinical staff of the department.

Before joining Cedars-Sinai, Casey spent 20 years in international business, consulting with and assisting companies in establishing their overseas operations.  He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in languages and linguistics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
