Brad Makaiau
Assistant Director, Donate Life California

Brad Makaiau is the Assistant Director of Donate Life California, the state-authorized nonprofit responsible for managing the organ, eye and tissue donor registry. Key among his responsibilities at Donate Life California is ensuring the accuracy and privacy of the donor registry and daily operational oversight. Most recently, he has been responsible for initiatives including the Pink Dot License Plate program, and the redesign of the Donate Life California websites, Done Vida California and Living Donation California.

Prior to joining Donate Life California, Brad worked in radio, television and high-tech software for several years before joining the Alzheimer’s Association of San Diego where he managed the organization’s marketing and public relations. Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from San Diego State University.
