CDC Recommendations for Subsequent Zika IgM Antibody Testing

On June 21, 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that Zika virus infection testing using real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) molecular assays is now commercially available. This Health Alert Network (HAN) update intends to further disseminate CDC’s recommendations for Zika immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody testing.
