Retail Science Academy 105: The Power of Point of Sale (POS)

Did you notice your health care provider keying information into a computer during a recent office visit? If so, there is a good chance that you observed the data entry process of an electronic health record (EHR) that is exchanging information.  Retailers have been capturing their customer information for decades. Healthcare is using point of contact to capture data just like retail.

Data empowers hospitals and hospital gift shops  to make better decisions on product selection, pricing, best and slow sellers, and customer service programs. Keep up to date on how to capture “Big Data” either with a POS system or manually.

A CAHHS Retail Science Academy Certificate of Completion will be awarded to attendees who successfully complete all five retail science sessions at the conference.
