Modern Healthcare

Executives from five major health insurers met with HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, President Barak Obama and four state insurance commission officials at the White House over recent double-digit premium increases, and said they agreed more transparency is needed over premiums.

Sebelius asked the executives to post proposed rate increases and actuarial data supporting them online. “At the very least, we need some transparency,” Sebelius said after the meeting, according to the Associated Press.
