UCLA appoints new president of Health System

UCLA selected a new health care leader for the UCLA Health System, officials announced Friday.

Johnese Spisso will become the president of UCLA Health, CEO of UCLA Hospital System and associate vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences on Feb. 8.

Spisso has more than 30 years of health care leadership experience. Currently, she is the chief health system officer for the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she manages operations, growth and development of the clinical components of the school.
