UC, nurses make tentative labor deal
San Francisco Business Times

The University of California said Saturday it reached a tentative labor agreement with union nurses at its medical facilities. The San Francisco Chronicle reports the pact, which averts a possible one-day strike planned for Wednesday, offers 4 percent pay increases through 2017, with UC paying the majority of health insurance costs. The nurses, represented by the California Nurses Association, are expected to approve the four-year deal.
