Top UC Davis med school official gets new post
Sacramento Business Journal

Dr. Frederick Meyers, vice dean at the UC Davis School of Medicine, has a new job in January. He’s been tapped by the chancellor and the medical school dean to lead a new precision health initiative at UC Davis. Precision medicine is a new approach to disease prevention and treatment that combines patient information with scientific data and clinical know-how to tailor treatments. The idea is to predict and prevent disease — not just treat it — and if treatment is necessary, ensure the right therapy goes to the right person at the right time.
