Temecula has chance to start over on hospital
North County Times - Gilbert Marrero, M.D.

On Jan. 26, the Temecula City Council with “heavy heart” extended by one year the city’s 2008 approval of the Pennsylvannia-based Universal Health Services’ plans to build a 300-plus bed hospital in Temecula (“Southwest Hospital deal extended,” Jan 26). The company also manages our hospitals in Wildomar and Murrieta. However, it appears that the company has stalled its construction of said hospital for several years, and now, it plans to modify the original plans of 300-plus beds to only 100 beds opening by 2015, and completing by increments to 325 beds by 2030.
