Lory Engell was recovering from a recent hip replacement surgery in his hospital room Wednesday afternoon when he received a guest.

“I love my visitor,” Engell said, while petting the four-legged guest snuggled up to his side.

The furry visitor was Micky, the 4-year-old Cavelier King Charles Spaniel, who is a therapy dog.

Micky and two other therapy dogs and their handlers visited a few patients at Sutter Solano Medical Center on Wednesday to introduce the newly rolled out pet therapy program at the hospital.
