Seventy-five students stepped into the shoes of doctors and nurses Monday for a firsthand account of what they might be doing someday.

The What’s Up Doc program, organized by Kaweah Delta Health Care District, hosted two classes of high school students from Mt. Whitney, Central Valley Christian and University Preparatory for a glimpse into what the healthcare field is like. For Julia Bleeker, a student at Central Valley Christian, the activities were more than just a glimpse.

“It’s really cool to be here and be able to participate,” the 17-year-old said.
