‘Sticker shock’ hits California as at least 300,000 health policies terminated

President Barack Obama may have made a tactical error when he promised Americans that if they have health coverage they’re happy with, they don’t need to worry about losing it due to health reform. Although that may be true in most cases, there are exceptions, some of which came to light in the last week or so when Bay Area and California individual policyholders were informed their plans are not consistent with the new law’s requirements.
