State medical group’s CEO lasted 2 months

After just two months in the job, the California Medical Association’s new chief executive officer, Alfred Gilchrist, has called it quits. The physicians group said Gilchrist, who assumed the post in November, will return to Colorado to resume his position as the CEO of the Colorado Medical Society, the CMA announced Thursday. Gilchrist submitted his resignation Tuesday, according to a statement from the Sacramento-based CMA, and his last day is today.
