State budget would skim additional money from hospitals, nursing homes
Sacramento Business Journal

California hospitals and nursing homes will continue to tax themselves to generate more Medi-Cal funding from the federal government in 2012-2013, but Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed budget revision would rake off $150 million from the fund for private hospitals and $47.6 million due to nursing homes. Another $75 million in supplemental payments to hospitals would go into state coffers in 2013-2014.
