The Stanford University School of Medicine is working with the Khan Academy to put lectures for some medical classes online. According to Stanford, the move will allow class times to be spent on “more engaging activities” and is being led by Charles Prober, senior associate dean for medical education. The move, called SMILI (Stanford Medical Interactive Learning Initiative), is part of Prober’s vision where medical schools could share video instruction.
