SF General Hospital plans to transport patients to new trauma center
San Francisco Examiner

San Francisco’s only full-service trauma center is preparing to move hundreds of patients to its new $1 billion Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center on Saturday morning.

The move involves transporting around 200 patients about 200 feet from Building 5, the current trauma center, to Building 25, a nine-story state-of-the-art edifice with glass walls, a curved exterior and a rooftop garden that provides outdoor access for staff, patients and their family members.

“The staff are very excited,” said Terry Dentoni, the hospital’s chief nursing officer. “We’ve done a lot of training for the last four months.”
