Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital staff, patients adjust to new, bigger ER
The Californian - Salinas

The atmosphere at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital’s emergency room is usually hectic, but on Tuesday morning, the air was charged with additional excitement. As of 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, SVMH’s highly anticipated, expanded Tynan Emergency Center made its public debut.

Sporting nine more beds and 4,000 additional square feet, the expanded emergency room reduces wait times and holds more patients, said Darrin Mooneyham, SVMH’s director of emergency services.
