RNs at Queen of the Valley hospital vote to join California Nurses Association
San Francisco Business Times

Close to 500 registered nurses at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in the Napa Valley will be represented by the California Nurses Association, following an April 30 organizing vote, CNA said today. RNs at the Napa hospital voted 248 to 140 to join the Oakland-based nurses’ union, CNA officials said. The win gives CNA a bigger voice at the St. Joseph Health System, Queen of the Valley’s Orange-based parent organization, according to the union, which says it now represents 1,600 registered nurses in the system.
