Respite care center for homeless wins council support

Despite the opposition of planning commissioners and neighbors, a planned convalescent center for homeless patients is getting the City Council go-ahead.

The Napa council has set aside a veto of Project Nightingale, a respite-care home that would take over a small commercial building at 1950 Jefferson St. Council members are expected to vote on approving the home at their next meeting Dec. 1.
