Region’s health care leaders rapidly adapt to new landscape
North Bay Business Journal

Health care providers across the North Bay continue to adapt to the rapidly evolving business landscape, expanding outpatient services, building new facilities and seeking more coordinated care, while the region’s small-market employers with 50 or fewer workers will likely face further challenges on employee benefits, experts said at the Business Journal’s Health Care Conference on Nov. 13.

The region’s largest health care providers — St. Joseph Health, Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente and Santa Rosa Community Health Centers — have all responded to the Affordable Care Act by increasingly partnering with physicians and focusing strongly on primary care, all in attempt to reduce costly hospitalizations to achieve the so-called “triple aim:” improved quality, improved patient experience and reduced costs.
