Reform Update: HHS will boost efforts to encourage young adults to enroll in exchanges
Modern Healthcare

About one-fourth of Americans who have signed up for health coverage through the federal and state insurance exchanges so far are between the ages of 18 and 34, indicating that the Obama administration, the states and insurers have their work cut out to get more younger and healthier people to sign up before open enrollment ends March 31.

HHS officials released exchange enrollment totals Monday along with their first demographic breakdown of enrollment in the 36 states served by the federal exchange and the 14 states plus the District of Columbia served by state-run exchanges.
