Prop. A bond measure offers wide-ranging seismic retrofits

Some of San Francisco’s thorniest problems — homelessness, mental health and ambulance response times — are addressed on the June 7 ballot, though in rather mundane fashion. They’re part of Proposition A, the latest in a string of bond measures to tackle the city’s backlog of seismic retrofits and structural improvements. This one is worth $350 million and would focus on the city’s public health and safety system, in addition to its homeless shelters.
