Petaluma hospital bidding down to two companies

Two finalists remain in a four-way race of companies vying to take the helm of Petaluma Valley Hospital in 2017, with a measure to approve the selection of an eventual front-runner heading to the November ballot for Petaluma-area voters, according to an announcement today by the Petaluma Health Care District, the public entity that owns the hospital.

Current operator St. Joseph Health, the nonprofit hospital company that also operates Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and Napa’s Queen of the Valley, as well as Ontario, California-based Prime Healthcare Services, remain in the running to operate Petaluma Valley, according to district CEO Ramona Faith.
