Personal information of 15,500 Kaiser members leaked

About 15,500 Kaiser Permanente members in Northern California had personal information compromised when an electronic data storage device was stolen from an employee’s car last month, the medical provider announced today. The personal information did not include social security numbers or financial information, and a Kaiser spokesman said there is no evidence to suggest the information has been used by the thief.
