Obama opens the door for universal health care to slip away, House one ups him

On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a ‘fix’ for Obamacare. The “Keep Your Health Plan Act,” passed the House by a vote of 261 to 157, with 39 Democrats joining an overwhelming majority of Republicans in support of the measure. The so called fix would allow health insurance issuers to renew through 2014 canceled policies that don’t meet Obamacare standards. The bill would also allow insurers to sell those policies to new customers. The move, initiated by House Republicans, comes a day after President Obama had announced his own fix for the policy cancelations.
