New Sutter hospital counts down to Oct. 25 opening
North Bay Business Journal

Along with the direct economic impact of building a $300 million hospital in Sonoma County, Michael Purvis, chief administrative officer at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa, said that opening the new state-of-the-art facility will impact the area in other ways as well. “Here is a hospital that is a benchmark for the region,” he said. “Whenever you bring in a new standard and raise the bar like that, it stimulates the competition and it energizes everyone.”

Mr. Purvis will be the keynote speaker this Friday at the Business Journal’s Impact Sonoma conference which focuses on the top current projects in Sonoma County — the ones that are having a big impact on the area and energizing the North Bay.
