More jobless, uninsured visiting area clinics

More people who have lost their jobs and insurance are tumbling into Ventura County’s healthcare safety net, according to an annual report released this month. Visits to the Ventura County Health Care Agency’s clinics and urgent care centers increased from about 377,453 people two years ago, in the 2006-07 fiscal year, to 447,856 people in the year that ended June 30.
