Measles cases climb in California prompting public health concern
Los Angeles Times

State officials on Friday announced the latest updates on two worrisome trends in public health that have hit California hard this year: a rise in measles cases and additional deaths from influenza. Deaths from the flu had increased earlier this season, though the latest numbers show it has been waning in recent weeks. California has seen 332 flu-related deaths so far for the current season which began in the fall. Last flu season, there were 106 deaths.
