Lompoc medical center opts out of End of Life Act
Lompoc Record

The Lompoc Valley Medical Center Board of Directors voted unanimously during a special meeting Tuesday to opt out of the California End of Life Option Act. The law allows California doctors to prescribe lethal doses of drugs to terminally ill patients who request the drugs to end their lives. Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill into law last year, and June 9 is the implementation date when doctors will be able to write lethal dose prescriptions legally.
