L.A.’s health care providers celebrate Supreme Court’s ruling
Los Angeles Daily News

A collective cheer rose Thursday from many health care providers across Los Angeles County, who said the Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold most of President Barack Obama’s health care plan will give the region’s 1.2 million poor and uninsured better medical access.

With the Affordable Care Act now secure, more than half of the county’s uninsured can qualify for coverage through Medi-Cal in 2014, said Dr. Mitchell Katz, director for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
