Sacramento Business Journal - Ron Trujillo, Editor

Health care giant Kaiser Permanente earned the highest-possible score for meeting national care standards, while locally based Western Health Advantage topped the list for member satisfaction, according to a report released Tuesday that looks at the largest health maintenance organizations statewide. Sacramento-based Western Health Advantage earned a four-star rating for member/patient satisfaction — winning five of the 12 categories, including answering calls within 30 seconds — and received three stars for national standards of care, according to the Office of the Patient Advocate, a state agency that monitors HMOs and medical groups.
