Kaiser uncertain about Temecula hospital

The uncertainty surrounding the healthcare industry — which is waiting to see how the rollout of the Affordable Care Act affects both day-to-day operations and the finances of the entire sector — is influencing talks between the city of Temecula and Kaiser Permanente. Last year, Kaiser filed a pre-application with the city to get feedback on a proposed 1.2 million-square-foot complex near the corner of Date Street and Ynez Road in northern Temecula that included medical offices, two hospital towers that could house 250 beds, and a diagnostic and treatment area.
