Kaiser Permanente profit hits $2.6B

Kaiser Permanente didn’t seem to feel the pinch of health reform uncertainty last year. The Oakland-based health care system saw a 30 percent increase in its net income for 2012, and a 5.6 percent uptick in its operating revenue. For 2012, net income came in at $2.6 billion, with operating revenue at $50.6 billion for its Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and subsidiaries.
