Sacramento Business Journal

Downtown employees can get exercise, health information and fresh produce through a new walking club sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. Almost 1,000 people have signed up for the free club. It kicks off at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, when Dr. James Voigtlander, an orthopedic surgeon, leads a mile-long walk starting at the Capitol Mall Farmers’ Market at Sixth Street and Capitol. The program, known as Walk to Thrive, will provide office workers and farmers’ market shoppers with a simple way to exercise.
