Inland hospitals, schools race to train health care workers

Inland hospitals, community colleges and county agencies are developing programs to alleviate ongoing health care worker shortages as the Senate and the House work on legislation that could insure an additional 30 million people nationwide who don’t have coverage. Numerous studies released during the past couple of years indicate that Riverside and San Bernardino counties have long faced shortages of health care professionals, including medical and dental assistants and technicians.
