How to keep our hospital healthy

With the recent shuttering of Sebastopol’s 73-year-old Palm Drive Hospital, some Petalumans might be wondering if their own hospital is destined for a similar fate. Fortunately, it does not appear that Petaluma Valley Hospital will close its doors anytime soon.

However, the reality of soaring costs and dwindling revenue streams amidst the rapidly shifting economics of health care remains a significant challenge to the viability of any hospital, and it would be a big mistake for this community to take for granted the exceptionally high quality of care provided by Petaluma Valley Hospital and its staff.
