Health Care Reform Almost Law

It’s full steam ahead for health care reform now that sixty U.S. Senators say they’ll support the compromise package that passed a key procedural vote early this morning. Most senate Republicans hate it and most liberal Democrats accept it begrudgingly. Stephen Shortell, Dean of the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, says this is a more moderate version of what many people thought eventual health care reform would look like. He says if it becomes law, it will be a significant achievement.
