Got a Covered CA plan? Start shopping
San Diego Union-Tribune

If you are among the 1.3 million Californians enrolled in an Obamacare plan through the Covered California health exchange, you will have until Jan. 31 to make changes.

But you might want to move more quickly than that.

Covered California, the state’s health insurance exchange, will automatically re-enroll you in your existing plan on Dec. 15 if you do not take action before then.

You can still make changes until the last day of January even if you do get automatically re-enrolled, but your new policy will not start right away, said James Scullary, a spokesman for the exchange.
