GOP Wants to Know: Did HHS Ask Carriers to Fund Enroll America?

Nearly a dozen major health insurers are responding to information requests from a congressional committee investigating whether HHS Sec. Kathleen Sebelius solicited funds from them to help a private entity sign up the uninsured for public exchanges. Insurers need enrollment to be as robust as possible, and have supported Enroll America’s efforts to get an estimated 9 million people or more to join exchanges next year, but congressional Republicans are pushing for answers on how HHS is seeking their help.
