GOP leaders delay vote on government operations resolution
Modern Healthcare

As House Republicans wrangled over how best to insert the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into the coming cascade of fiscal showdowns, GOP leaders delayed a vote on a resolution that would fund government operations after the fiscal year ends Sept. 30.

The House is now expected to vote on a spending measure next week. It remains uncertain whether Republican leaders will pair it with a separate measure that forces the Senate to vote up or down on defunding the 2010 healthcare law or take a more aggressive tack.
