Follow-up Inspection of UC Irvine Medical Center uncovers deficiencies
Los Angeles Times - Kimi Yoshino

A follow-up state inspection of UC Irvine Medical Center to check whether the hospital had fixed previous problems has uncovered three additional areas of deficiency. The university received a letter earlier this week from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services noting that it was out of compliance during the inspections on Oct. 15 and 16. A detailed description of the problems is not public yet, but the letter cites deficiencies in pharmacy, oversight and quality assessment and performance.
