March was a milestone month for health care. It marked the second anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and saw the law and one of its most controversial provisions – the individual mandate to buy health insurance – come before the U.S. Supreme Court. Republicans and Democrats have rival campaigns either damning health care reform as unworkable government interference or extolling its virtues as the panacea for health care’s woes.
